Key Challenges / Outputs

Anticipating and matching the pace of the project, support the definition and deployment of PM process, methods and tools to the perimeter, bringing critical analysis and anticipation, to ensure project steering and control in line with business case
Bring interpersonal skills to integrate many actors (internally, externally, across many functions and sites) in a 'sprint' mode and work with efficiency and pragmatism to secure collaborative solutions
Understand fully the project dimensions and objectives, work with the Project Leader and project organisation to build and manage the project baseline.
Provide a live view of the project, ensuring strong integration and synchronisation of key elements, highlighting what is important to stakeholders, and recommended actions, to facilitate prompt decision making and targeted management activities
Bringing knowledge to identify and follow up on constraints and opportunities in the schedule
Communication with the suppliers - having a good understanding of what is happening operationally and ensure clear definition of priority project actions to follow up across the multi-functional team internally and at supplier

Promote and deliver simple and effective project governance to focus in on value added activities and quick decision making

Receive delegated project management responsibilities from the project leader when required to support project progres
Live and promote the project culture and spirit with the multifunctional team
Engage others with a high level of well being and trust

Main activities
PM Set up
Definition and organisation of the PM activities in the different project phases to optimise project performance
Work with the Project Leader and project organisation to build and manage the project baseline.
Requirements identification and formalisation to ensure that all project objectives and stakeholder expectations are met. Evaluation and steering of any modification to baseline. Maintenance of all project information in line with Project Management Plan.
Daily application of PM processes, methods and tools, for example;
Maintaining and utilising a live accurate and fully integrated schedule
Provide skilled scheduling solutions (creation, maintenance, critical analysis, scenarios)
Ensuring practical and robust Risk & Opportunity Management is protecting the critical path of the programme, and business case of the project
EVM deployed accurately to indicate performance and enable targeted steering on schedule, cost & performance
Identify project management actions and facilitate to conclusion through the multifunctional teams
Identifying any deviations from project baseline and proposing preventive and corrective actions
Preparation and facilitation of gate reviews demonstrating compliant PM deliverables
Reporting to project boards providing relevant and accurate project intelligence
Best practices consistently sought and used, as well as lessons learned, knowledge transfer live throughout the project and transversally to other business area beneficiaries

Competences / Skills needed

A broad understanding of aircraft wing structural and systems engineering and industrial work content (i.e. design, manufacturing engineering, tooling, production) being able to work with terminology, understand the actors, scheduling characteristics and action management in this field.
Proven experience and competence in working with scheduling data, scheduling / project management tools (MSP, Unified Planning, ARM) and business data management systems (such as SAP, Business Warehouse)
Ideally 5 years of experience, working in Project and Programme Management in a complex organisation or having obtained similar transferable skills
Hands on approach to problem solving, able to engage skills of different functions to define and ensure action follow up
Able to work with agility, optimising outcomes an environment with many, frequently changing priorities and evolving elements
Demonstration of interpersonal, communication and practical skills favouring transparency, trust, simplicity, efficiency and pragmatism to secure collaborative solutions.
