Supply Chain Coordinator

About the role:
We are seeking to recruit a Supply Chain Coordinator to join the Production team of our small but expanding company. The successful candidate will support the Production Manager with analysis and optimisation of the supply chain, this is expected to cover a wide range of associated activities.
This role would suit someone with knowledge and experience of technical purchasing ideally of electromechanical parts and electronic subassemblies. They will need to be comfortable with analysing and optimising material costs, and possess good teamworking and negotiating skills.

Duties / Responsibilities:
Typically to include, though not limited to the following:
1. Working with supply chain to optimise pricing & continuity of supply
2. Purchasing some specialist products and services
3. Analyse purchasing data & produce reports
4. Provide scheduling and reports for management
5. Expediting orders where needed
6. Arranging supplier audits
Although the role is based at our Great Chesterford office, some travel may be required in the UK and, occasionally, overseas.

Essential skills and knowledge:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Experience of purchasing complex items to custom specifications
2. Fluent with spreadsheets, written and spoken communication skills.
3. A relevant or applicable vocational qualification will be a distinct advantage.
4. The ability to multi-task, and work accurately under time pressure.
5. Flexible in approach, and ability to deal with changing requirements.
6. A full UK driving licence
